Leadership Descriptions: Bishop’s Liaison

The Bishop’s Liaison is the member of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (“USCCB”) that serves at the invitation and discretion of the National Team. This is a non-voting, partially funded position.

It is the responsibility of the Bishop’s Liaison to interface with the USCCB and any other Bishops on behalf of the NCSC. Additionally, the Bishop’s Liaison is an advocate of the organization among other church groups. The Bishop’s Liaison is also responsible for being the contact between the organization and the Archbishop/Bishop of the Diocese where the conference is to be held.

The Bishop’s Liaison provides both spiritual and motivational support for the Executive Board, as well as providing guidance for the Executive Board and offering a historical perspective. The Bishop’s Liaison is also invited to work with the Executive Board in fundraising and development.

The Bishop’s Liaison is invited to attend all meetings of the National Team and to participate in all conference calls.
